MenB vaccinations 

The MenB vaccination is a two-dose course.

  • First dose of MenB vaccine only gives about 30 per cent protection.
  • Second dose boosts protection to around 90 per cent.
You should get your second vaccine from 28 days after your first dose.

The NHS offered the first dose of the vaccination to eligible people until 8 May 2026.

The NHS continues to offer second doses of the MenB vaccination to eligible people who had the first dose.

Appointments available

Appointment slots are available at weekly clinics in Canterbury throughout May and June.

Antibiotics

Antibiotics, following UKHSA advice, will not be offered after midnight on 12 April 2026.
